Track & Field's John Dearie '24 is now Gonzaga's all-time best hurdler having captured every record in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Dearie scored 20 points at the DCSAA Championship on Thursday, May 23 at Dunbar High School to earn the
overall male MVP. Kainoa Winston '25 scored 17.75 points for the Eagles earning a
track MVP distinction.
For the third straight year, the team finished in second place. This year, St. John's won with 146 points, while we scored 107.5 points and St. Alban's came in third with 78.5 points. Click

Gonzaga got a gold medal result in the 4x200 relay (Winston, Jude McGroarty '24, Calvin Timm '25, and Lincoln Fisher '25) for the third straight year setting a State Record with a time of 1:28.12, and Dearie finished in first in the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 38.39 breaking his own State Record from 2023. Silver medal finishes included Winston in the 100 meter dash, Dearie in the 110 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay (Dearie, Timm, Ryan Brown '27, and McGroarty). And our bronze medal finishers were Winston in the 200, Timm in the 300 hurdles, and Fisher in the triple jump. The Eagles 4x100 relay (Lincoln Shelton '27, Fisher, Myles McLaughlin '24, and Winston) came in 4th with a time of 42.72 setting a new school record. Click

Last weekend, the team finished in 5th at the WCAC Championship. The meet was held at Good Counsel on May 17 and 18. The
top results from last weekend were gold medals in the 4x200 (same team as listed above with a school record time of 1:27.41) and Winston winning the 100 meter dash.
