Tennis Finishes 3rd, Sherner '24 and Hennebery '24 Win WCAC Championship Matches

After rain delayed last weekend's scheduled final round of WCAC Tennis Championship matches, the Eagles were finally able to compete in the last matches of the tournament. The action took place at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center on Monday, May 6.

Jack Sherner '24 faced DeMatha in the #1 Singles match while Brendan Henneberry '24 faced St. John's in the #2 Singles match. While Jack got the win in a convincing fashion, Brendan battled back in his match but ultimately could not pull out the victory. Enjoy the match point from Sherner's performance:

The pair then teamed up to face St. John's in the #1 Doubles final and got the win. The victory over the Cadets gave us 17 points for the tournament to tie St. John's for third overall in team scoring. Bishop Ireton won the title with 32 points, and DeMatha took second with 19 points.

Congratulations Eagles!
