News of Alumni: Keith Urgo '97
Keith Urgo ’97, Fordham Basketball head coach, was welcomed back to Eye Street earlier this month. The Rams practiced in the Carmody Center ahead of their first round Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament at Capital One Arena.
Director of Athletics Terry Kernan ’08 played under Coach Urgo as a freshman in 2004-05 in what was Urgo’s first coaching job. “It was great to have him back,” said Kernan. “He’s been a friend and a mentor since my playing days and it had been a joy to see his coaching journey over the years.”
Fordham won their first round conference tournament game against Rohde Island University on March 12. The next day, the team fell in the second round to George Washington University to end their season.
