Rugby Visits Ellis Island, Beats Xavier (NY)

This past weekend, the Rugby program took three teams to New York to face Xavier High School. The three teams consisted of Varsity Purple, an all sophomore team, and an all freshmen team. On Saturday, May 4, the Eagles arrived in New York and stopped to tour Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Here are some fun photos from the experience:

On Sunday, May 5, the Eagles traveled to the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn for the matches against the Knights. The Freshmen and Sophomores fell in their matches but gained great experience, while Varsity Purple defeated Xavier 33-17 in a dominating performance from start to finish.

The Varsity Purple team will face Georgetown Prep tonight, Friday May 10, at 6pm in Bethesda, MD in our last match before final preparation for Nationals begins.
