Baseball Beats Landon and Bullis, Georgetown Prep up Next

On Saturday, March 8, Gonzaga Baseball defeated Landon 15-4 to open its 2025 season. The Eagles got out of the gate fast, scoring four runs in the first inning.  Offensively, the team was led by Mark Jungers (C/OF) '25 who had two hits, three RBI, and three runs, and Matteo Pipia (3B/RHP) '28 who had two hits, three RBI and one run.  Tyler Majkowksi (LHP) '26 earned his first win of the season with three strong innings pitched in his starting spot. In the home opener at Nats Academy on Tuesday, March 11, Gonzaga was challenged offensively against Bullis throughout most of the game. The team broke out for a big inning late to earn a convincing 9-1 victory.  Colin Madden (RHP) '26 earned his first varsity win on the mound with a strong start going four innings, allowing only one run, and striking out four. Liam Finkel (RHP) '27 and Christian Gaffney (RHP) '25 were strong in relief on the mound, both throwing scoreless innings.  Offensively, the Eagles were led by a big day from Nate Carr (OF) '25 who had three hits and three RBI.
