Cross Country in Maryland XC Invitational
Gonzaga Cross Country lined up against 60 other squads on Saturday, October 8 at Schawan Downs near Baltimore, to participate in the Maryland XC invitational. The team came away with an 8th place finish against stellar competition.
Leading the way on the gently rolling grass course was junior Lucas Rohde, who finished in 16:07, moving him up to 13th place on the Gonzaga all-time list of cross country runners. Matt Podratsky '25 (29th, 16:39), Liam Thomson '23 (38th, 16:49), Anthony Sarro '26 (71st, 17:16), and Will Buckley '25 (78th, 17:21) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles. John Hirko '25 and Tim Barloon '23 also raced for the varsity.
