Soccer Wins WCAC Championship!

In front of a great crowd at Catholic University's Carlini Field, Gonzaga Soccer captured its 14th WCAC Championship in program history on Sunday, November 2 with a hard fought 1-0 victory over DeMatha. This is Coach Waller's 10th title since taking over the program in 2005 and the team's first since 2022. In his 20 years at the helm, we have reached the WCAC final 17 times.

The game was back and forth in the first half with both teams creating quality chances. WCAC Player of the Year Ivan Hughes '25 had a great chance to put the Eagles ahead, but the score remained tied 0-0 at the half. In the 43rd minute, Braeden Meeker '25 connected from just outside the 18 yard box to give Gonzaga the 1-0 lead. Goalie Colin Crowe '25 made seven saves on the day including his final one in the 80th minute to seal the victory. The defense in front of Crowe, spearheaded by the backline of Thomas Gabay '25, Ben Feindberg '25 and Anthony Kozuch '25, did not give up a goal in WCAC postseason play.
