Golf Wins WCAC Championship, Looney '25 Wins Low Medalist

On Tuesday, May 7, Golf competed in the WCAC Championship held at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland. Gonzaga finished in first place with a combined score of 355, 21 strokes ahead of second-place PVI. The team score of 10 under par was the lowest on record for the tournament. 

Carson Looney '25, won low medalist shooting a 66 (-5). Patrick Pritsios '24 (67), Jack Hartman '24 (68), and Jakes Lopes '27 (70) all recorded rounds under par. Matthew DelPizzo '26 and Jacob Peel '24 each had rounds of 74 and 76 to complete the dominant performance. 
 
Gonzaga Golf has two remaining tournaments on the schedule with the Metro Championship on May 15 and the DC State Tournament on May 21.
