List of 4 items.

  • You attend a Catholic grade school in Maryland or D.C.

If you attend a Catholic grade school in Maryland or D.C., you’ll take the High School Placement Test at your school. Your school will also give you the Archdiocese of Washington Authorization to Release Records form. You will need to list Gonzaga as one of your choices. Your grade school will then send us teacher recommendations and your 7th and 8th grade transcripts.
  • You attend a Catholic grade school in Virginia

If you attend a Virginia Catholic grade school, Gonzaga requires the High School Placement Test, which will be given at your school. In selecting the schools you wish to receive your test results, make sure Gonzaga is listed as one of your choices. Then, download the Records Request Form from your Checklist and have your parent/guardian sign and send it to your grade school. Your school will send Gonzaga grades, standardized test results, attendance records, and disciplinary actions. Lastly, choose two current teachers from your school (one from math or science and one from history or English). Using your Checklist, email them the Recommendation Form to fill out on your behalf. The teachers can upload those to your Checklist once completed. You are allowed a third, optional recommendation from another teacher or school staff member.
  • You attend a non-Catholic grade school

You will need to take the High School Placement Test, which is given at a variety of sites in the Metro area. Please click here for information on how to take the test. Make sure you list Gonzaga among the schools you wish to receive your scores. You are allowed a third, optional recommendation from another school teacher or staff member.

  • You are applying to transfer from another high school

As a Transfer Applicant, Gonzaga requires all of your current academic records and materials.  Download the Records Request Form from your Checklist and have your parent/guardian sign and send it to your high school's administrative office. Your school will send Gonzaga grades, attendance records, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, please ensure that your school sends Gonzaga standardized test scores from the current academic year.  Choose two current teachers from your school (one from math or science and one from history or English). Using your Checklist, email them the Recommendation Form to fill out on your behalf. The teachers can upload those to your Checklist once completed. You are allowed a third, optional recommendation from another school teacher or staff member. Additionally, applicants for entrance into sophomore or junior year must sit for the SSAT and request that their scores be sent to Gonzaga. Finally, many of Gonzaga's athletic programs participate in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. If you're interested in participating in athletics at Gonzaga, please review the league's transfer eligibility policy here.
