Meet our 2023-2024 Alumni Service Corps

Gonzaga is excited to welcome back three members of the Class of 2019 as our Alumni Service Corps this year. These young men will serve in a number of roles this school year, including as substitute teachers, club moderators, and coaches. If you see these faces around Eye Street, make sure to say hello!

Samuel Clukey '19
College: Virginia Tech
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “Gonzaga is a uniquely interconnected and supportive place that I came to more fully appreciate during college.I am passionate about being a part of the educational environment that was so essential in making me the person I am today.”
Fun Fact: “I enjoy playing chess and training in Mixed Martial Arts”.

Gavin Farley '19
College: West Virginia University
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “I am passionate about giving my year here to the teachers and faculty, helping on retreats, on teams and many other places. Having recently graduated college and being relatively close in age to the students, I hope to be someone the men can turn to for their voice to be heard. Most of all, I am passionate about discovering my vocation at a positive community like Gonzaga alongside so many hardworking, strong individuals.”
Fun Fact: “While in college, I had three internships in the optical science division at the Naval Research Lab in DC. In my senior capstone, I worked on a microgrid using renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines.”

John Thompson ‘19
College: Fairfield University
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “I am looking forward to working with my old teachers and getting back in touch with my Gonzaga roots. I am also passionate about Gonzaga Rugby, and look forward to being a part of it again this year.”
Fun Fact: “I can solve a Rubik’s cube in under a minute.”
