Soccer Beats PVI and DeMatha, The Heights and Ireton Up Next
Soccer earned two big WCAC wins this week. On Tuesday, October 8 the team travelled to Catholic University to face Paul VI and got a 1-0 win as Dylan Test '26 found the back of the net on a beautiful header in the first half. Goalie Colin Crowe '25 and the defense earned their 9th shutout of the season. Here are some highlights from the game:
On Thursday, October 10 Gonzaga faced DeMatha on Buchanan Field and played a strong game from start to finish to earn a 3-1 win. Ivan Hughes '25 scored two goals, one in the first half and one in the second half. Noah Winder '25 got the Eagles final tally. The Stags got on the board late for the final margin of victory.
Next week, the Eagles are on the road for two more WCAC matchups - Tuesday, October 15 at The Heights at 3:30pm and Thursday, October 17 at Bishop Ireton at 4:00pm. Click here to see the team's complete schedule. And here to follow the team on Instagram.
