Tennis Celebrates Seniors, Wins 3 of 4 Matches

Varsity Tennis had a busy week with four matches. On Monday, April 17th, Gonzaga defeated Georgetown Prep 7-2. The Eagles got singles wins from Jack Sherner '24 (8-1), Brendan Henneberry '24 (8-2 ), Lee White '24 (8-4), Preston Burton '24 (8-1), and Jack Donaldson '23 (8-3). In doubles action, the team got wins from Jack Sherner '24 / Lee White '24 (8-0) and Brendan Henneberry '24 / Preston Burton '24 (8-6).

The following day, Tuesday, April 18th, Gonzaga celebrated their senior night and defeated St. Mary's Ryken 9-0. Congratulations and thank you to seniors Jack Donaldson and Christian Torborg.

Ending the week, Tennis fell to DeMatha 6-3 on Wednesday and defeated Bishop McNamara 9-0 on Thursday. The Eagles are now 10-5 on the year and 10-1 in WCAC play.
