Hockey Beats St. Albans and Calvert Hall
Hockey had a strong week going 2-0-1 with wins over St. Albans (6-1) and Calvert Hall (2-0), and a hard- fought tie against WCAC rival St. John's (2-2). The game against the Cadets and the MAPHL wins were all played at Tucker Road Ice Rink.
Over the three games, captain Roman Villegas '25 scored five goals including a hat trick in the win over St. Albans. Other goal scorers this week were Connor Tierney '25, Jack Gardner '25, James Rhilinger '27, Jackson Brown '25, and Will Veneri '25. Between the pipes, goalie Claude Engle-Kes '27 made 33 saves in the shutout win over Calvert Hall.
The Eagles are back in action tonight, January 31 against Landon at Tucker Road and then will play four games in five days next week. Click here for the full schedule and here to follow the team on Instagram.
