On this page, you will find a list of all the sports that Gonzaga offers, as well as contact information for the head coach and tryout dates, where available. Also, in each section, you will also see details about each program who is hosting a camp this summer. Please feel free to contact any of the head coaches for further information or if you have questions.
Attention parents: In order for your son to participate in sports during the school year at Gonzaga he must have a complete health record on file with the school. Health records are updated in Magnus, via the parent dashboard, by logging into Gonzaga's website. Informational meeting will take place on campus in late September, please look out for announcements for this meeting. There will be offseason opportunities beginning with lifting in October, and skill work beginning after Thanksgiving.

If your son is interested in trying out for basketball in the winter please have him stop by the Basketball office in the Carmody Center and see Coach Turner at the start of the school year. There will be an opportunity in the fall to join us with workouts in the weight room, skill work on the court, along with playing pick up in open gym.

Fall Freshman Rowing, after school will begin after Labor Day. A time and place for a Freshman/Novice Information Meeting will be announced the first week of school.

New students are welcome to join the cross country team. There are no tryouts, but athletes need to be willing to come to practice every day and demonstrate a good work ethic. Optional summer training runs are available on summer evenings and weekends. Additional information about the cross country team, including details about summer training, can be found here.

All freshman parents with sons interested in playing lacrosse, please email eyestreetlacrosse@gmail.com and we will include you on our mailing list. There will also be a parents’ meeting for the entire program in mid-September.
There are no cuts for freshmen - all are welcome, experienced or not. All freshman parents and new rugby players' parents with sons interested in playing rugby, please email gonzagarugby15@gmail.com to be included on the mailing list.

Practices are from 3:45-5 pm, Monday through Thursday during the season at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD. There is a bus to practice and to the Metro after practice.

Tryouts will take place at Overlee Pool in Arlington (7:30-10:00 am) and at Gonzaga (12 noon-2 pm). All players who make the team are expected at preseason the following week. Please email Coach Pugliese if you intend to come to tryouts.
The Water Polo team welcomes new players to join us at tryouts; while a background in swimming is helpful, no prior experience is required nor expected.
The season runs from the beginning of August to the first weekend of November (end of October for JV). We practice four days a week from 3:30-5:30 with frequent weekend games.
