    Faculty Treats is always highly anticipated by the hard-working Gonzaga faculty and staff! One morning each month, GMC volunteers prepare a delicious home-cooked breakfast for the faculty, staff, coaches, maintenance staff, Jesuit community, and administration to show our gratitude for all they do for our sons.
     
    It’s always fun and volunteers are always needed! 

    To assist with breakfast, please arrive by 6:30am in the Lower Commons.  Breakfast begins at 7:15 am.  After serving the Gonzaga faculty and staff, GMC volunteers share breakfast and clean up --everything completed before 9:00 am!

    GMC Mass of Thanksgiving and Breakfast

    St. Al's & Arrupe Commons
    Held each year in November, the Mass of Thanksgiving is jointly hosted by the GMC and Eagles' Wings, Gonzaga’s club for parents of alumni. Everyone in the Gonzaga community—students, parents, alumni, faculty, and Gonzaga well-wishers —are invited to share a celebration of the Mass at 10:00AM followed by  a breakfast reception.

    Mass will include a special collection for the McKenna Center. 

    GMC and Eagles' Wings volunteers are needed to serve as readers, ushers and Eucharistic ministers at the Mass and set up and serve the breakfast. Please contact the event organizer at thanksgiving@gonzagamothers.org.

    The Fathers Club hosts monthly gatherings during the school year, during which we socialize and hear valuable insights from invited teachers, coaches, and administrators.

    During our November monthly meeting we will celebrate Veterans Day and military service. Please join us as we hear from Vice Admiral Sara Joyner, United States Navy and Gonzaga mom. You can learn more about Sara by clicking here.

  • Gonzaga Football vs. St. John's

    Go Gonzaga, Beat St. John's! The annual rivalry football game will take place on Saturday, November 9 on Military Road with a 1pm kickoff.

    On the year, Eagles are 6-3 and the Cadets are 5-3. Both teams will play in the WCAC Semifinals next Friday, November 15 on the road at 7pm. The winner will become the #3 seed and face Good Counsel in Olney, MD. The loser will become the #4 seed and face DeMatha in Landover, MD.

    There will be no walk-up ticket sales. As of 1pm on Friday, November 8, there are a limited number of tickets remaining. If still available, you can purchase them via this link, using this code: GONZAGA1821.

    Visitor Parking: Gonzaga Coaches/Personnel/Fans will park in the Upper Lot (use 27th Street entrance) or on 27th Street/in the neighborhood (following all street signs/not blocking driveways or fire hydrants – MPD will ticket). Additional parking is also located across Military Road in the Rock Creek Park parking lot.

    Alumni Association meetings give Gonzaga alumni the chance to hear up-to-the-minute information about what's going on at Gonzaga, from club activities to sporting events, and all Alumni Association events. We begin with fellowship and dinner at 6:00 pm and at 6:30 pm the meeting is called to order. Meetings typically last an hour and a half depending upon attendance and agenda items to be discussed. The meetings are open to all alumni of Gonzaga.

    The Gonzaga Mothers Club is open to all mothers and guardians of Gonzaga students, and those friends and benefactors of the school who wish to participate in or contribute to the Mothers Club activities.  

    The GMC usually meet on the first or second Wednesday of the month in the Lower Commons. All are welcome! The social begins at 6:30 pm, and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.

    The WCAC Semifinal football game between Gonzaga and Good Counsel will be held at Good Counsel on Friday, November 15th at 7:00PM

    Due to limited parking, please follow the instructions below:
    Parents and spectators may park in designated spaces in front of the school or on grass fields behind the school.  Parking attendants will be present to guide traffic. Please avoid parking in fire lanes or non-designated areas to prevent towing.  Additional off-campus parking will be available at Farquhar Middle School, with shuttles running to and from Good Counsel.

  • Onyx Alumni Association Meeting

    The Onyx Alumni Association of Gonzaga College High School is a division of the Gonzaga Alumni Association which is dedicated to supporting and promoting diversity at Gonzaga College High School and within its community, seeks to broaden and strengthen the connections of Alumni.  Those connection serve to support current, prospective and future minorities who are committed to successfully matriculating and graduating from Gonzaga.

  • Dominik Pettey '15 Memorial Purple White Game

    The Dominik L. Pettey ’15 Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund helps make a Gonzaga education possible for deserving students, and was established to perpetuate the memory of Dominik, who embodied the spirit of Gonzaga.  This year, Gonzaga has set an ambitious goal: By raising $100,000 in 11 days, we can bring the fund in Dom's name to $1 million.  Please make your gift today in memory of Dom.
     
    This year's game will be played on Friday, November 22 at the Med Star Capitals Iceplex.  Admission is free.

    On November 24th Gonzaga will host its Open House for prospective families to visit the school and learn from members of the admissions office, faculty, current parents and students, alumni, and coaches. During the Open House, you’ll get the chance to:
    • Meet our teachers, administrators, and students
    • Speak informally with administration, program directors, and staff
    • Discuss the benefits of a Jesuit education and all-boys school
    • Review the application process
    • Learn about the financial aid process

    Lee Kelly Thanksgiving Touch Rugby Tournament

    Come out and enjoy a morning of rugby on Eye Street at the annual Thanksgiving touch tournament.  

    Please join us in honoring and celebrating Lee Kelly's life by playing the sport he loved so deeply and that brings us all together year after year.  Lee was a beloved coach, friend and mentor to so many in the Gonzaga community and was instrumental in bringing alums back to Gonzaga each year for this celebration of friendship and rugby. 

    The format (depending on amount of teams) will look something like this:
    • Round Robin/Pool Play Tournament
    • Comprised of 7-10 player teams
    • 7 vs 7, 7 minute halves, ROLLING SUBS.
    • Semi Finals and Finals to follow pool play
    • We will make sure to guarantee each team 2-3 games (again, depending on overall participation)
    • And to make things more interesting: Enter your own team! Take charge and call up your classmates and put your squad together.
    • If you don't feel like putting a team together, no worries- show up on Thanksgiving Saturday and we will assemble teams of free agents or assign you to a pre-formed team.
