Track Earns All-American Result at Nike Nationals

Congratulations to the Track program on competing in two outdoor Nationals events last week. Eight Eagle families travelled to Eugene, OR for Nike Outdoor Nationals (NON) and six Eagle families travelled to Philadelphia, PA for New Balance Nationals Outdoor (NBNO). Our top result was finishing in 4th place at NON in the Sprint Medley Relay, setting a school record with a time of 3:33.69 and earning All-American status. Calvin Timm '25 started the race by handing off to Jude McGroarty '24 who then handed off to John Dearie '24 who ran a 50.2 in his 400 leg. Lucas Rohde '24 anchored the event with a personal best 1:57.6 in his 800 leg. See highlights from the race below:

Between the two National competitions, four members of the Class of 2024 competed as Dearie ran in five races including two U20 USATF events; Rohde ran in three races; McGroarty ran in two races (one in Oregon and one in Pennsylvania); and Myles McLaughlin ran in one race.
