Track Finishes Third at Dogwood Classic, Dearie '24 Earns MVP Honor

On May 3-4, Track competed in the 60th Annual Dogwood Track Classic at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. The Eagles had a strong performance, finishing 3rd out of 79 participating schools.

On the first day of competition, the Eagles scored with our Spring Medley (Kainoa Winston '25, Lincoln Fisher '25, Jude McGroarty '24, and Lucas Rohde '24) coming in 4th place with a new school record time (3:35.36). On the second day, Winston finished in 6th place in 100m Dash, Anthony Sarro '26 ran the second fastest time in school history in the 1600 (4:14.71) to come in 4th, and John Dearie '24 won the 110m Hurdles and came in second in the 300m Hurdles with a new school record time (37.65). Meanwhile, back at home on May 3-4, the Eagles also competed in the 41st Draper Invitational. We finished 8th out of 21 schools, and had scoring finishes from a number of Eagles. Langston Davis '25 was named Field MVP with scoring marks in all three of his jumping events. Click here to see all of the results.
